It isn't easy being green
Does this cloth diaper make my butt look big? We are all trying to make a difference and believe me Georgia has embraced the whole "Green Thing". She looooves her cloth diapers, and I was just thinking I should get on board and buy a few more. They are a little bit pricey but I guess the environment is worth it. Al Gore would be so proud.

Silence CAN be golden
I really love my job (part-time). I really really do. Before I was a mom I was a teacher. I adore teaching for a million and one reasons. Here are just a few. . .
Nobody cares if I sing off key
I get to make art at least once a day
Kids say things like "cankersaurus" when they mean "canker sore"
I go outside to play everyday
I can legitimately eat goldfish and string cheese for a snack
My bright pink pants get compliments
I read great literature like The Gruffalo (check it out)
Knock knock jokes are considered funny
A child might love school because of me
There are only a couple of things I do not like about teaching. And only one in particular now that I am a working Mom and can't wait to pick up my Babe after a long day. That one in particular complaint is staff meetings. I know they are necessary, but seriously people brevity is a virtue. Let's all take a moment and rip a page from the life of Georgia,
when in doubt PLUG it.

fancy shoes
Georgia "stepped out" in her gorgeous red mary janes for picture day. The cutest baby in the whole world I swear - I admit my bias but don't feel bad if you feel the same way! Everybody should own a pair of shoes like these, they look fancy, have a nice shiny smooth texture, and according to Georgia they taste great. She should know because that is what she did during picture retakes - she ate her shoes, man I love this Babe she can really strike a pose!

we try so hard
We make funny faces, sing ridiculous songs, and perform acrobatic acts we are way too old to attempt. Our "variety" show sometimes elicits a smile and if we're lucky a small conciliatory giggle. It never fails our sweet mutt Maddie enters the room and the belly laughs abound. Maddie doesn't contort her face, she can't sing, and cartwheels are out of the question for this old girl. Maddie possesses that je ne sais quoi that tickles Georgia. We are so grateful to Maddie for providing our Babe with such joy! Cheers to the funniest dog on the planet - who knew?!

We have a serious spider problem at our house. Our crawl space is the designated "spider relocation center" unfortunately the spiders emerge through the heating vents as quickly as we "relocate" them. I can't blame the spiders the crawl space is sooooo creepy. Guess we'll all try and get along, they don't really take up much space and they aren't all that demanding.

Well it has ben a glorious week for us. Our sweet baby was by far the cutest trick-or-treater. And. . . OBAMA WON! Finally America has gotten a clue and voted for the qualified and might I add dignified candidate. Oh I am sooo proud to be an American. I wanted to post a picture of president elect Obama with the monkey but he was tied up with some other engagements. That's okay she holds her own don't you think?
