Hanging on

A two second conversation that started like this. . .
"remember how great our summer was"
turned into a
diaper bag packing
snack making
sippy cup filling
bathing suit finding
frenzy.
We jumped into the car and headed out for
one
last
summer
ADVENTURE.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Can't wait for Memorial Day.
No offense Labor Day.

CH CH CH Changes

Georgia and I have a lot of routines.
Our morning routine includes milk for her coffee for me.
A few minutes of the morning news and a few minutes of Postman Pat.
Frozen blueberries and toast for both of us.
and eventually
early morning garden maintenance.
I love our morning routine.

I don't want it to change - I want Fall to wait.
This morning it smelled like Fall.
Oh no (as Georgia would say).

Super Delicious

The #1 delicious thing in our house

The #2 delicious thing in our house.

I had at least a million things to do.
None of which included baking a cake.
Oh well.

It tasted better than clean laundry!

This family rocks!

Daddy - Daughter quality time.

Everybody does it differently.

Georgia and Colin like it LOUD!

P.S. The drum set pictured was purchased for Georgia BEFORE
we had a carseat
a crib
or
a stroller
priorities people.

Walking & Talking

Lookout world Georgia is officially walking.
She is fast.
No more towel drying after a bath.
The air dry method is much more effective!

picking favorites

Everyone has their favorite memories from the cottage.

Running water!

Learning how to climb (on everything).

Walking with Grandma.

Snuggling with Grandpa.

Laughing with cousins.

And my personal favorite hanging out with the WHOLE family at the beach.

child of the corn

This is the beginning of our road trip to Grand Beach.

Yes, we are home now - but we had so much fun I can't help but go back in time and relive it all. (including one very long drive)

This picture was taken at a gas station surrounded by cornfields.
Did you ever see that movie "Children of the Corn"?
I still get scared driving through Nebraska.
